The Natural Clinics practice was established since 1997 - originally based in London - and is now located in the heart of St Lawrence on the Isle of Wight where it has successfully been treating clients since 2004, and acquiring an enviable reputation for its results, quality of service and client confidentiality.

Offering complementary therapies to allow you to achieve better health, by improving your mind, body and inner-self. We mainly specialise in illness, injury and associated conditions.

We work together with GP's and the medical profession to broaden the horizon of health care. We believe that illness, both physical and mental have many effects and therefore we always treat you as a whole person. We don't just treat symptoms but the underlying cause, to rebalance you from top to toe. We will tailor the treatment to your requirements and use multiple complementary therapies to provide you with the very best possible care.

Those injured through accident often require reports in respect to insurance claims. Our reports have been accepted in such claims for reimbursement, for both treatment and compensation, and we are only too happy to work with these companies and yourselves.

The Treatment Room
We have the most amazing "bespoke" treatment room, which is both warm and comfortable - unlike the usual sterile clinics. You can even catch glimpses of the sea! Our therapy couch is wide and thick, having been designed for the American market and specially imported to the UK for Natural Clinics. It is a heated couch (which you control) and large fleeces completely cover you so that you are always treated with the utmost modesty.

We aim not just to treat you, but to work with you, so that you do not become reliant on us, but on your own judgement of your body. As we improve your condition you will need less and less treatment until you find that no further treatment is required or that you only need a "top up" session, however, always be assured that we are only a telephone call away if you re-injure yourself or feel the need to bring forward your treatment.

We treat the very young to the elderly, men, women and children. Our clients are from a variety of backgrounds, such as builders, parents, designers, athletes, service men and women. There are no boundaries, we just ask for commitment on both sides.

Some of the conditions treated include:

  • Pain – back pain, neck pain, joint pain, headaches, sinus pain, and migraine
  • Sciatica
  • Sports Injuries, Postural backache due to pregnancy
  • Asthma
  • Stress, Anxiety, Depression, High blood pressure, Relationship difficulties, Bereavement
  • Menstrual Problems, Menopause
  • Skin Conditions/Eczema
  • Insomnia
  • Digestive Conditions - IBS, Fatigue, Candida, Fluid Retention, Constipation
  • Swollen limbs – Lymphoedema, Oedema, fluid retention
  • Hormone imbalances

We follow a strict code of ethics and are fully qualified and insured.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy aims to balance your body systems and feelings. Within Natural Clinics we have found that aromatherapy has been successfully used to help many different types of conditions including stress-related problems, muscular, circulatory, respiratory, and digestive and skin conditions. It benefits all age groups, but is not recommended if you have a skin condition, are recovering from surgery, going through chemo or radiation or anyone prone to blood clots.

Bowen Technique
The Bowen Technique is a gentle alternative to Physiotherapy which involves gentle moves over specific junctions of muscles and ligament tendons and fascia in various parts of the body. These moves will help to re-orient your body to its original ‘blueprint’, in other words your body’s previous healthy state, free of pain! The Bowen technique is a soft tissue remedial therapy and is very subtle, relaxing and gentle involving no hard or prolonged pressure.

Anybody from any age group can be treated - including newborn babies - and it can help with problems such as sports injuries, lower back pain, headaches, asthma, frozen shoulder, sciatic pain, neck pain, period pains, back pain on pregnant women, RSI, general aches and pains and low energy levels.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD)
MLD is a form of gentle massage intended to encourage the natural circulation of the lymph through the body. The lymph system depends on breathing and muscular contraction. Manual lymph drainage uses a specific amount of pressure and rhythmic circular movements to stimulate lymph flow. Manual Lymph Drainage now sits comfortably in both the medical world and the complementary world and is an accepted part of rehabilitation units, physiotherapy departments and massage departments. The effects of MLD on the nervous system make it one of the most relaxing treatments available. It is perfect for stress and pain control.

Anyone can have MLD and it is suitable for all ages. Some of the conditions it can treat are: swollen arm or leg due to an injury, lymphedema, sinus problems, headaches, migraines, period problems. It is as effective for swollen feet if you have been standing all day as it is on the swollen legs caused by lymphoedema or pregnancy. Old scars can be greatly improved with MLD – normalising the colour and flattening out unsightly scar formation. Migraine and arthritic problems, "glue ear' in children and congested sinus" can all be positively affected.

Nutrition & Dietary Therapy
Nutritional Therapy is a natural way of re-establishing the balance of body systems (immune, nervous, endocrine, cardiovascular, muscular skeletal) in order to promote natural healing. With optimum nutrition the body is provided with a better chance to stand up and fight for itself against some illness and degenerative diseases.

It involves dietary changes, usually backed up by on individually designed supplement programme (vitamins, and minerals) focusing on areas of nutrient imbalances which can be contributing towards, or be the cause of, a whole range of illnesses.

It is suitable for people of all ages who may be suffering from a wide range of health problems including hormone imbalances, digestive disorders, arthritis, mood swings, food allergies, skin problems, I.B.S., insomnia, candida, M.E., PMS, headaches, fatigue and so on.

Reflexology
The art of reflexology dates back to Ancient Egypt, India and China. It wasn’t until 1913 that Dr. William Fitzgerald introduced this therapy to the West as ‘zone therapy’. He noted that reflex areas on the feet and hands were linked to other areas and organs of the body within the same zone. In the 1930’s Eunice Ingham further developed this zone theory into what is now known as reflexology. She observed that congestion or tension in any part of the foot is mirrored in the corresponding part of the body.

Reflexology is suitable for any age group, from babies to the elderly. We have had great success with clients who have had fertility problems, period imbalances, stress-related conditions, IBS, headaches and insomnia. If necessary, reflexology can be performed on a person’s hands instead of the feet.

Therapeutic/Deep Tissue Massage
Therapeutic massage is massage with the goal of obtaining a therapeutic benefit. It differs from a relaxation massage, performed to help someone relax. While therapeutic massage is often relaxing, the end goal of the session or series of sessions is not purely just relaxation, but to deal with specific ailments conditions and injuries.

In addition to having physical benefits, therapeutic massage can also be psychologically beneficial and may be used to increase trust, promote relaxation as part of a therapeutic program, alleviate severe depression, or to treat other conditions.

A therapeutic and deep tissue massage treatment is suitable for all ages and each treatment is unique. The massage techniques used will be adapted to take into account your age, health and any particular musculoskeletal problems that you may have. It can help with conditions such as chronic body aches and pains, sports injuries, repetitive stress or strain injuries such as carpal tunnel syndrome, whiplash and accidents, TMJ or jaw complaints. Sports and work related injuries.
