Our jam / open mic night at The White Horse in Whitwell is a popular, vibrant and eclectic gathering that celebrates the diverse talents within our community. Whether you're a seasoned performer or trying out something new, this event is the perfect stage for all. We try to get everyone up for at least 3 songs. Whilst mostly music, if you want to come and read some poetry, or make the audience laugh, try it out.
It's a warm and friendly jam that welcomes all standards of playing from seasoned to beginner. The audience is a mix of musos, friends and visitors to the pub. But the audience is always encouraging, providing a safe space for performers to express themselves without fear of judgment.
Backline is provided and there is normally always a drum kit, a keyboard, a bass amp, guitar amp, and 3-4 microphones. Just bring your sticks, guitar, bass or other instrument.
Starts at 7.30pm and ends around 10.30pm.
If you wish to dine, it is advisable to book a table as it can get very busy. Last orders for food on a Monday is at 7.45pm.
