OUR CARS
The perfect couples’ getaway
In 1948, a Chrysler New Yorker was a top of the range luxury car. Movie Star Elizabeth Taylor went to her first wedding in one in 1950!
“Winston” is huge, quiet and comfortable. At 18 feet long with forward-opening ‘suicide’ rear doors, not only is there lots of space in the rear compartment for flowing dresses, but the wide door-aperture means your photographer can take some lovely in-car photographs without doors getting in the way. It seats four passengers plus the chauffeur.
Hollywood Style
“Marilyn” is the ultimate glamour car. In 1949, you had to “be someone” to own a car like this. This super-rare convertible spent the first seventy years of life in sunny Southern California, no doubt lazily cruising from Balboa Island to Huntingdon Beach. Now she has more important things to do! At 17 feet long, she is impressive, comfortable and very roomy. No need to worry about the British weather… with its power-operated hood, you can be protected from the elements on the journey. Upon arrival at your destination, a press of a switch allows the hood to retract as you get ready to stand up in the rear seat area and exit like a film star. Naturally she has a powerful heater, wide doors and loads of legroom. The side windows can be left raised, or fully retracted.
A thrilling “Groom’s car”
Impress your guests by arriving at the ceremony in the “1969 Marcos 3-Litre Fireball - the fastest 3-Litre production car we have ever tested” (Motor Magazine, 1969). Strictly a 2-seater, the Marcos will be chauffeur driven for you. We will be pleased to ‘take you for a spin’ on route to your destination, for a once in a lifetime experience in this classic British sports car. Be warned: it is low (extremely low), so you need to be fit and agile even to get into it, or get out! It is not suitable for journeys with speed bumps in the road, unmade roads or tracks due to its minimal ground clearance, but what a thrill!
