A charitable organisation for women, the WI is the largest women's organisation in the country enabling women of all ages to learn, socialise, share experiences and find friendship. You will find all of this at Niton WI.

The Niton group meets every second Thursday in the month, at 2pm.

Inspiring women - then and now
The WI is a unique organisation shaped by its members. In 1915, we set out to give women a voice and to be a force for good in the community.  Since then, our members and our ambitions alike have grown tremendously.  Today, we are the largest women’s organisation in the UK and we pride ourselves on being a trusted place for all women of all generations, to share experiences and learn from each other. A WI membership offers the opportunity to meet women in your local area in-person and virtually, to make friends and make a difference in your community. We campaign nationally on a wide range of issues and provide life-long learning and self-development opportunities for women in England and Wales.

In 2023 we introduced WI Supporters Options as another way to engage with the WI movement without being a WI member. This is an alternative way to engage with our work.

Our Campaigns
Our campaigns tackle issues that matter to women in their communities. From equal pay to climate change, mental health and violence against women, over the past 100 years we have embraced a diverse set of challenges. The WI has brought about real change - and we are just getting started.

Lifelong Learning
Life-long learning has always been at the very heart of the WI; it is important to everyone regardless of age, race, gender, or ability.  As life changes, so does the way we learn, and the advancement in the technological landscape means that our approach to learning is continually changing.

The WI Learning Hub offers members the opportunity to learn new skills, expand current understanding, and engage in a variety of topics that are relevant to everyday life, either in the comfort of their own homes or with their WI.

Be loud and proud, be a WI member… The WI may know a thing or two about making delicious jam or crocheting beautiful garments, but did you know we’re also pretty amazing at playing Walking Netball, Rugby and singing, to name just a few!  From singing with Tony Christie at St Pancras Station, London to hiding crafted corgis around the country to celebrate The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, WI members across the country have been able to show off their skills and enjoy a range of exciting events.
