Our pub is the perfect place to eat and drink on the Isle of Wight, whether you are wanting a beautifully curated tasting menu, a quick pint of traditional local ale or you simply want to stop by for a hot drink and catch up with friends, we can accommodate you. We offer a family orientated and dog friendly pub with a small children's play area to keep them entertained whilst you can relax and enjoy your time here with us.
STAY WITH US
We are a pub with rooms. Situated on the Southern side of the Isle of Wight, we are lucky to be surrounded by rolling hills and picturesque beaches. We are in the heart of a quaint village, with all the amenities you need, including a local shop, post office and a handful of restaurants and pubs.
If you're a lover of walking, we're prime location to set off and find some of the most beautiful island views. The Southern side of the Island is well known for its stunning views of the Needles, chalk white cliffs and vast amounts of farmland. One walk we recommend all our nature loving guests enjoy during their stay is a hike up to St. Catherine's Oratory, known to the locals as the 'Pepper Pot', which is one of the highest parts of the Island and the only medieval lighthouse left in England.
PRIVATE HIRE
We have three sections to our pub, that allow us to accommodate a range of functions, from small and intimate, to large and loud!
The largest part of our pub, the top room, can accommodate 40+. It is an ideal space for larger events, such as weddings, work meals and large celebrations. We can configure this room in many ways, to find the ideal seating arrangement for your party.
Our smaller back room is perfect for an intimate meal or drinks with a smaller group. This area can seat up to 15 people dining across four tables, or more if you are just having drinks. In this area, you can be privately tucked away. This room is perfect for birthday meals, family functions and group bookings. This room is beautifully decorated, and has a large bay window looking onto the village's High Street.
We have space in our bar area, which can accommodate up to 18 guests for food and more for drinks - this is near the bar and perfect for a night out with drinks! Please be aware, on a Friday this area can only accommodate 14 guests, as we have live music.
