The Wellington Hotel stands as a testament to history, once a Victorian gentleman’s residence, now transformed into a charming boutique-style B&B nestled proudly overlooking Ventnor Bay. Rescued from dereliction after four years of neglect, this Victorian Villa has been lovingly restored by a dedicated family, breathing new life into this former bustling tourist hotspot. Embrace the charm of yesteryear with its delightful quirks, such as slanted floors and original features, while enjoying the comforting ambiance and relaxed energy throughout your stay.
Perched just steps away from the southernmost beach on the Isle of Wight, our hotel boasts 23 comfortable ensuite bedrooms, each offering picturesque views of the sea just 100 yards ahead. Accessible via our very own private steps, you'll find yourself immersed in tranquility and natural beauty. We pride ourselves on providing quality accommodations, friendly service, and a first-class environment, where the comfort and happiness of our guests are paramount.
DINING - Sunday Roasts & Summer BBQs
Whilst we don't provide daily meals, we're excited to introduce special culinary experiences. Our Sunday roasts are a year-round affair, ensuring you can experience the warmth of a home-cooked feast without the need to turn on your oven. The menu evolves with the seasons, consistently featuring carefully selected meats sourced from local farmers, alongside locally grown vegetables. Picture crispy roast potatoes infused with garlic and rosemary, decadent cauliflower cheese, and the crowning glory – the perfect gravy.
Every Friday night throughout the summer of 2024 we will transform our terrace into the go-to family BBQ & Grill. We offer a fantastic range of home cooked and in-house meals from burgers to freshly grilled fish and meat using our signature recipe rubs. This insures that our dishes are packed full of flavour. We aim to accommodate all ages, tastes and do our very best to cater for any specialist dietary requirements. We have a variety of vegetarian, vegan, options on our menu.
Breakfasts are served daily for guests staying in our hotel.
