Studio Delma is a decorative arts studio based on the Isle of Wight, founded by artist India Delma Allin, offering bespoke sculptural features & surface finishes for interiors, ready-to-hang sculptural artworks, and creative educational workshops.
India specialises in sculptural plasterwork, a type of bas-relief sculpture that has evolved through history, with artistic styles, materials & application methods changing over many centuries. Her artworks are made using gypsum plaster, carefully planning the design before building up layers of material, only to meticulously carve and sand it away to create a perfected three dimensional final form.
She takes inspiration from all things flora & fauna, challenging herself to elegantly reflect, recreate & reinterpret the textures, shapes & subject matter around her, showcasing the beauty of intricate details present in nature.
Alongside her Bespoke & Ready-to-Hang Sculptural Plaster Artworks, India also offers custom surface design & specialist paint finish services for interiors. Her years of experience in the creative industries has given her a wealth of knowledge & skill that allows her to create & replicate a wide variety of finishes that elevate the interior design within commercial & residential spaces.
India works with interior designers as well as directly with clients, aiming to provide a distinctive, luxurious and completely bespoke alternative to traditional finishes such as off the shelf wallpapers and plain painted walls.
