Perched on high ground at the foot of the hill that leads to the Old Church in St. Lawrence Village, is the village hall. Constructed in 1898, using stone taken from the same spot, it was originally a school for 36 children, but was actually only used for this purpose for 10 years as it closed as a school in 1910. It is a pretty building with a belfry standing above the centre of the roof.
Registered Charity: 201922.
Today it is used by the local community and makes an ideal venue for all sorts of events:
- Fitness classes
- Craft classes
- Meetings
- Plays
