HELD ON THE FIRST THURSDAY OF EVERY MONTH
Monthly support sessions
Previously known as 'Ventnor Our Place', Really Useful Thursday is a monthly FREE drop-in session which offers community support from various organisations.
Aimed at anyone of any age and in any circumstance. It's a safe environment to access support and advice, or simply come for a chat over a cuppa or a hot lunch.
These support sessions take place on the first Thursday of every month. Organisations attending regularly each month have included Ventnor's PCSO, Age UK, Citizen’s Advice, Health Watch, Living Well and Early Help, Ventnor Well-being Café, Sight for Wight, Diabetes IOW, Footprint Trust, Green IOW, and Baby Box Isle of Wight.
Many of the organisations represented do not have a permanent presence in Ventnor, so this is a great face-to-face opportunity.
They can also signpost you to other groups or organisations too, where appropriate.
Mayor's Surgery
The Mayor and Deputy Mayor of Ventnor will also be available for a drop-in Surgery from 12.30pm-1.30pm. This is a chance to discover more about the town council and have an informal chat.
Weekly Thursday Lunch Club
A group of volunteers prepare the hot lunch provided at the monthly support events, and also every Thursday, at this venue as part of Ventnor’s Warm Space initiative.
Thanks to St Catherine’s Church for their support and our fabulous team of volunteers.
