A quaint little church that is a bit out of the way but worth a visit if you are in the area.
You need to park further up the road and walk down to the church as the access is very very tight.
The church was rebuilt in the 11th century, with the bell cote dating from the 16th century as does the bell. The north wall mural is said to be from as early as the 7th century. The south porch was added in the 19th century.
It was replaced by St Boniface Parish Church on The Shute in 1848, but despite contemporary discussions about demolition, it has survived. After the Parish Church was built the Old Church continued to host evening candlelit services in the summer months only, a Christmas Carol service and Holy Eucharist on the Feast day of the Patron Saint, St Boniface, on 5 June.
