Niton Methodist Church was built in 1864 and has been a witness to God's love in Niton ever since. In 2000, an ageing and shrinking congregation who were physically unable to carry on decided to close the church but in dedication they fervently prayed, and God answered! New people joined and the congregation once again flourished. Now, nearly half the congregation is made up of families with young children. The main Sunday Morning service can be a lively time where we seek to worship the Lord under the guidance of the Holy Spirit and prove that worship is not always a quiet time!
Our need for God's leading, guidance and his Holy Spirit's power hasn't diminished. We still recognise that without Him "we can do nothing" but with Him "all things are possible." Our aim is to make a difference in our community, to see people come to know Jesus and experience His life changing touch. That is what we seek to do as individuals and in all our church activities and services. The church building is open every day as a place for people to seek God in prayer.
