I've always loved listening to The Shipping Forecast on BBC Radio 4. It's been the sound track to much of my life. I've taken road trips to many places in the world, and sailed solo around Britain in a small boat, photographing mother nature at her best, and worst.

Ventnor is my home. I love it. It's such a special place.
I was born in Reading to a fairly nomadic family. I've lived in England, Wales, and throughout the Middle East, before settling in Scotland in 1983 before heading to London in 1996.

But now I spend most of my time in Ventnor on the Isle of Wight. We fell in love with the town and moved here in 2012. We're lucky enough to wake up and watch the sun rise up over the sea from home. I can't think of a better place to raise a family. Or to work to develop my pictures.

I work all over the Island, and have a gallery and workshop in Shooters Hill in Cowes, where everything is printed and then framed. We use the very best materials, and I would expect my pictures to look exactly the same in 100 years. They won't fade in our lifetime.
