A manned First Aid Point by the main beach in Ventnor (summer season only).
Weaver fish, jellyfish and crabs can be found at this location, which may require the need to administer first aid.
This manned first aid point is available during the summer season and open between the hours of 10am - 6pm each day.
Ventnor Beach Safety Hut is managed by Ventnor Town Council and offers basic first aid and information to beach goers to ensure people can enjoy the beach in safety.
Manned by volunteers
The Beach Safety Hut is able to offer this service thanks to a team of volunteers who offer their time to the scheme (a maximum of ten hours per week).
Would you like to volunteer and learn new skills?
From time to time, vacancies come up for two new volunteers to join the team, working in rotas to enable people to fit the volunteering around their existing commitments. Volunteers receive full St John’s Ambulance First Aid Training and get to enjoy time down at Ventnor beach, meeting new people and learning more about this fabulous town. It's a great opportunity for someone to gain formal training to develop their skills. If you're interested, contact Ventnor Town Council 01983 856905.
