Nestled in the hills of Niton, Enchanted Manor is a mystical manor house where badgers visit for dinner and squirrels play all day.

About
Thank you for dropping by our magical gateway to Enchanted Manor on the mystical Isle of Wight. We are a South African family: myself, Peta Panos, a mystic, yogi & energy alchemist; my brother-in-law Kevin Williams, a landscaper, builder and an all-round handy man; and his daughters, my nieces: Montana & Alexandra Williams. Both are creative designers, ethical vegans and Baristas. We have lived outside of Africa for over a decade. The Williams in Ireland and myself in Norway.

The Manor House was built in 1838 and outside a few more houses, the area is pretty much as it has always been. Unspoilt. Natural,  fresh and cleansing sea air, lots of birds and plenty of native animals.

Having grown up in the African bush, we see the value of the whole eco-system and see ourselves as custodians of this small corner of the world and love to share it with benevolent elementals and our like-minded guests.

We take a stand for self care, mindfulness and old indigenous wisdom: harnessing the healing nutrients and energy of natural, heritage foods. Our vision is to be as green as we possibly can. The Manor House is over 180 years old and we are continuously upgrading with a vision of being fully sustainable and green within 5 years.

We have started small - composting, clearing out the old clutter, donating and recycling what we can.   We recycle, grow our own herbs, collaborate with the community and buy as many fresh ingredients from local farms. We love to make Gaia smile.

Me-Staycation
Considering the times of change we are living in, it is an essential act of self-care to regularly take ME time. Self-care is not a luxury, it is a necessity. When we are facing big decisions, changes or need to heal & rejuvenate, it's ideal to retreat on a ME-Staycation.

If a Me-Staycation sounds like heaven, Enchanted Manor is perfect for all your needs: We are surrounded by Salt Water and cleansing, fresh sea air. The area is protected and boasts beautiful coastal walks and prolific birdlife. We have wild badgers popping by in the evenings, Red Squirrels playing in the trees and from time to time foxes swing by.

Our suites are big and luxurious - fit for your inner Queen or King. Think Epsom Salts Bubble Baths; an in-room massage in your private lounge; a big 4 poster bed all to yourself; Healing sessions; daily yoga; delicious & healthy food.

The Isle itself is mystical, magical & multi-dimensional - legend has it that the Mother Dragon sleeps here still, waiting for Humanity to awaken more fully.

Receiving the most sun in the whole of the UK, the Isle of Wight is a holiday Mecca with many attractions. There are many forever home animal Sanctuaries with the opportunity to go behind the scenes and interact with the animals.

Every ME-Staycation is tailor-made to ensure that your retreat dream becomes a reality…

Walking
With over 500 miles of walks across the Isle of Wight from scenic coastal paths to dramatic landscapes, the Isle of Wight is a walkers paradise. We are situated near the start of the ‘Over the Undercliff’ walk, a more challenging walk for the adventurous. To find more walks and maps follow this link

Cycling
There are over 200 miles of cycling routes on the Isle of Wight catering for all abilities from flat friendly routes to off-road more challenging routes. Bikes can be hired from many locations on the island and the “Bicycle Island” initiative has added some great new cycle routes and offers bike carrying buses.

Badger Watching
We are very fortunate to have a vast number of regular visitors, who love our raw peanuts. The badgers venture out at around the same time most evenings and enjoy munching on their treats on our lawn. There are many areas where you can sit and peacefully watch the amazing badger families. Whilst badger watching we are often interrupted by the red squirrels bounding around the garden and darting in and out of the pagodas.

Birdwatching
With 300 square kilometres of environmental protection, nature reserves and wildlife sites and 150 kilometres of spectacular coastline to explore, the Isle of Wight is an amazing place for birds! Sitting in our tranquil gardens will give you an opportunity to see and hear a vast assortment of local birds, however, you can learn all about birds, from spotting them to song identification at the Bird Watching Walk at Newtown.

Dark Skies
The Enchanted Manor is ideally situated in a ‘Dark Sky’ area and stargazing is becoming a regular event. Under a really dark sky, we can see over 1,000 stars. We can even see our own galaxy, The Milky Way, stretching across the sky. During the autumn and winter, Stargazing Weekends at the Isle of Wight Planetarium are held close to the New Moon.
