Behind the gates and stone walls and in the grounds of Buddle Place, a Grade II listed farmhouse in Niton on the Isle of Wight, are two beautifully restored buildings now used as holiday accommodation.
Sleeping four and six people respectively, both holiday cottages are furnished in a contemporary style to a high and luxurious standard and have their own south facing gardens with glimpses to the sea and have been planted with sun loving flowers and shrubs which thrive in the warm south Island microclimate.
Buddle Place is the ideal holiday base for walkers, cyclists and those with a passion for the great outdoors.
Located on the southernmost tip of the Isle of Wight just a few hundred yards from St Catherine’s Lighthouse and Oratory, surrounded by National Trust downland and in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty it’s perfect for walks along the Undercliff which is one of the Island’s most dramatic and unspoiled stretches of coastline. Buddle Place is ten minutes’ walk from the village of Niton which has a great local grocery store, chemist, post office and pub.

The Barn - sleeps 4
A former cow shed, built during the 19th century, The Barn has been restored from a near ruin and is now a spacious and comfortable holiday home fully equipped with all the modern day comforts you might need. The private garden with its terrace faces south towards the sea has been planted with sun loving flowers and shrubs that will make the most of the warm micro climate on this side of the Island.
The kitchen has everything that you’ll need for a stress free holiday (if you feel like cooking) with a built in oven, hob, fridge / freezer, microwave and a washing machine and dryer to deal with wet swimming costumes and towels. If you just want to kick back and relax then there is Freesat Smart TV, DVD, and free WiFi. Also on the ground floor is a large bathroom with walk in shower, bath, basin and wc.
During the restoration, the roof was raised to create space for two bedrooms upstairs – a double bedroom with south facing sea views and a comfy king size bed and Freesat TV for lazy mornings, and a twin room also with views to the sea. Both rooms have access to a wc and basin on this floor and have been decorated with crisp linens, throws and cushions. We are happy to accept one small dog in The Barn.
